Gray level co-occurrence matrices (GLCMs) for texture analysis

Can these be generated in ArcGIS 10? Has anybody written a Python script to calculate these or more specifically one or more of the indices that can be derived from GLCMs?

I recently found this paper about a tool to calculate texture metrics in ArcMap, but have not found the code and/or tool.
