We are using branch versioning - so we already have all our data up in Portal as services. I have the feature layers all set to only be viewable by the creator and the editing group. The map image layer is shared with the whole organization.
The issue I'm running into is that the apps I want to make (specifically using the Filter tool) do not work with map image layers.
I do not want to share the feature layers organizationally - as you know there is gonna be that one person who is allowed to edit dataset A, realizing that they can technically edit datasets B and C (since they would also be shared with the group and organizationally) and going through and "fixing" things.
I also do not want to have two services of everything (an editable and not editable service) to have the feature layers available for app building.
I feel like I have to be missing something here on how to protect the data, but still be able to build apps that can use widgets.
How are y'all handling this issue?
