Overlapping Road Sign Symbology Solutions?

I'm hoping to find out about some of the solutions people have created to the problem of road sign inventory layer.

For instance for street name signs that commonly occupy the post as a stop sign this is my current solution.

The street name is below the stop sign in symbology layer but shows precise placement when it stands alone.  But this won't work for everything.

For the Chevron Alignment sign on curves where they are found they are placed like so (overhead diagram).  How would you / do you deal with symbolizing road signs overlap oddly?
