Keynote Announcement for Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP)!
KAMP is excited to announce John Nelson as our opening day Keynote presenter on September 6th in Louisville, KY!
John is a Cartographer and User Experience designer based out of Lansing, Michigan. In the era of big data, John combines unique analysis and data visualizations, along with stunning cartography, to engage audiences and present information in a clear and memorable way.
His work has been featured in National Geographic Magazine, FastCompany, the Guardian, the Atlantic Cities, Discovery News, the blogs of NASA and the Smithsonian, as well as the front page of Reddit.
John works with Esri, promoting geographic content through cartography, and within the Story Maps team, creating user experiences for cartographers to build and share their work through a narrative.

We will have two days of GIS and Mapping sessions on Wednesday, September 6th and Thursday September 7th 2017.
Pre-conference workshops are held on Tuesday, September 5th.
This is a great opportunity for our GIS, mapping and geospatial community to showcase their work, educate others and share professional experiences.
