I managed to store an .mxd document in a personal geodatabase (.dbf), and now I can't retrieve it using "open .mxd" or find it in ArcCatalog. Does any one have any ideas on how I could retrieve the map document from the geodatabase? I'm using ArcGIS 10.2.2.
How did this happen? Did you just change the mxd file extension in Windows Explorer? If so, change it back. If not, please provide more details, because I've never heard of such a thing.
