Is it possible to download world imagery?

I am wanting to be able to use world imagery without an internet connection. Is there a way to download it to use?

You could create tiles for offline use. Check the limitations as well.

There are a variety of aerial download sources that can be found by a web search.  I'd try a Google search on "aerial downloads" and "orthophotos".  If you want a specific geography instead of the whole world, I would add in search terms related to that geography.  For example, "aerial downloads United States".

Another avenue to search is government agencies, as often they are providers of imagery.

Another source is the USDA Geospatial Data Gateway at https://gdg.sc.egov.usda.gov/

Search by State, then County.  From there, download NAIP imagery for use locally on your computer.
