Can I temporarily assign a license to a collaborator without adding them to my organization?

I am working with a collaborator who has a public ArcGIS online account.  I would like to assign him a software license for the duration of our work together, but would prefer not to add him to our organization as I would rather not share all the organization data by default.

Is it possible to assign him a license as an external collaborator?

Thank you for your input.

You could create a custom role.  One that was more limited in what it could read.

This is exactly what I needed, thank you!  I created the custom role so I could allocate a license without sharing all the org data.  Then added our collaborator to a group to manage the sharing of specific layers.

Thank you for your help!
