Hi all! I studied masters in public health. I started using ArcGIS Desktop 4 months ago. I am working on Malaria Treatment and Laboratory Diagnosis Activity funded by USAID/PMI. I mapped Health Facilities where the Activity is implemented in nation wide of Ethiopia. As i am a beginner of ArcGIS Desktop, i want to know much before advancing myself to ArcGIS Pro. It is my pleasure to be part of the community.
Hi,
Esri Press has an excellent tutorial desktop book for health:
https://www.esri.com/en-us/esri-press/browse/gis-tutorial-for-health-for-arcgis-desktop-10-8
Material presentation is in a step by step format with graphics to reinforce the learning process. The book uses moderate repetition to promote comprehension of the software processes. The flow of software concepts is similar to that in the the authors' ArcPRO tutorial book. I use ArcPRO book and recommend that my students use it as a professional reference to be kept on your bookshelf.
Good luck in your studies.
