Why does my layer say "This layer only supports list view" for Attachments?

I really want to show my attachments as a gallery, how can I do this? Is it a setting in the layer when I publish it?  Thanks!

This is only supported for hosted services. Services that are not hosted will display this.

Are there any plans to implement this functionality for layer services hosted outside of AGOL?

Yes this is planned to be supported but I dont have an exact release enterprise services will support this.
