After I save my work in ArcGIS 10.6 and then reopen the same map document later, why have random files been converted to .xml files when they were previously shapefiles?
This has been happening for a few days now, and no amount of restarting has fixed the issue. I also just uninstalled and reinstalled ArcGIS because I was having issues with my parallels setup. This is for a class project, and any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
