The advantages (if any) of sharing mosaic with “share as image service”

Hi All,

What is the advantages of sharing mosaic with share as image service ??? and what might be the different between sharing the mosaic with ''share as service"  and  "sharing the mosaic as image services"  ???

Sharing the mosaic as an Image Service provides additional functionality on the raster data such as setting symbology, applying raster functions and retrieving raster statistics, whereas sharing the mosaic as part of a Map Service will only allow the user to view and identify the raster data.  Read more here: Key concepts for image services—Documentation | ArcGIS Enterprise
