I am using ArcMap 10.2.1.
I am learning about how aerial imagery is photographed. I understand there is a "cone" that captures the Instantaneous Field of View. I have also read that the optics are rotating. So I have to ask; does the satellite optics scan a triangular swath that rotates to create the cone of instantaneous view?

IFOV (Instantaneous Field of View)
