Hi,
We have a set of scanned survey maps in tif format on a shared network drive. We currently have these registered in a mosaic dataset and published as an image service on ArcGIS Server.
We have a script that refreshes the mosaic dataset nightly and on demand as new maps are scanned into the shared network drive.
This provides our land records staff the ability to work with the maps from home without a VPN connection... except for one last capability.
We can't seem to georeference the rasters. Well, we can but the georeferencing does not get saved from session to session like it does when working with the raster tif files directly.
Does anyone have a solution for this that would work with an ArcGIS Server hosted service and not disrupt the current storage on the shared network drive?
