Team,

The issue is very annoying. So, we have to put trouble on you guys and raise it again for quick action.

Not clear if the batch tool of â??Exportâ?? is available in 10.2. Basically, it should allow users to export/ subset images â??as a Batchâ?? based on a SHP (feature class) with multiple polygons individually having a â??Fieldâ?? containing text, which will be used for naming of output images.

Please consider it as high priority to provide, if still not yet in 10.2.
In operation, we urgently need this capability of â??Export as a Batchâ?? (on MD and image service from MD) efficiently functional in ArcGIS for interoperation, to support diverse customers and distinct applications across organization.
Many thanks,

larry @ ARAMCO

Try the Split Raster tool. It doesn't take in a polygon file, but there are a lot of parameters that should get you what you want. And it takes a raster dataset or a mosaic dataset as input.
This tool was put in at 10.0.

Thanks, melanie,

Regardless of no proper naming mechanism on a feature 'Field' text, the tools 'Clip' and 'Split' look some issues, when exporting on larger MD or image service from larger MD, with 'Overviews'. Not sure why?

With Clip, it works under desired AOI window extent; but the renderer, histogram, etc. of the exported images are changed or lost during exporting... In other word, the exported images are BLACK, so that the histogram must be applied manually...

Or not working in the desired AOI (Split), when image service is very larger.

Thanks for assistance.

The major reason to request is:

With this automation tool, imagery guys can allow 'authorized' customers (GIS, engineers, geoscientists, etc.) effectively to ??Export rasters as batch in ArcMap?? from image services with Overviews by their own, which can be based on the predefined SHP.

With this SHP, usually, each polygon has a text field containing something like ??GE13_May20_2433128_0000000?? or  ??LS8_Jan18_****??, etc., which is mostly derived from individual 'time-serial' MD footprints for customers conveniently to use for ??Export rasters as a batch?? automatically. Right now, we have to intensively involve in this simple mission in operation.
