Hi,

I'm trying out the MDCS tools and the preprocessed workflow toolbox to create a mosaic dataset in ArcSDE and Create Source Mosaic is returning the following error:

log-msg: Reading SDE connection properties from (Database Connections/imagery@GS_DEV.sde)

log-critical: DescribeData: Method database does not exist

Done...

Completed script createSourceMD...

Anyone else run into this problem or have a solution?

Cheers!

There are two ways to execute these sample tools - from the command line (see \batch folder) and the geoprocessing tool (see \tools folder).  The command line batch version will create a new geodatabase, but if you are running the geoprocessing tool version, the geodatabase must already exist - the tool won't create it.

I think that may be the cause of this - can you confirm?  If incorrect, and your geodatabase does exist but you still get this error when running the tool, please let me know.

Thanks

Cody B.

Hi Cody,

The geodatabase already exists when I run the tool. In this case my geodatabase is in Oracle.

Cheers!
