Images don't follow seam lines at all scales

I added 5 images to a mosaic dataset (tif) > generated seamlines > recreated pyramids > changed mosaic method to seamline from properties.

The images do not follow the seamlines at all scales. How can I make the mosaic use seamlines at all zoom levels?

PS: no color balancing is applied to the MD
