using maps between ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro until the move is finalized

Currently I use ArcMap on my school desktop to create maps, without Spatial Analysis. I have to use my person ArcGIS Online with ArcGIS Pro to use Change Detection wizard. Once I do that the maps are no usable in ArcMap. the ability to use maps i both directions would be helpful!

We do not have plans to support backward compatibility between maps in ArcGIS Pro project files and ArcMap .mxds.  Migrating these maps to Pro is a one way operation.  The underlying structure and differences in capabilities mean that this would be a very lossy operation.
