How are you planning on migrating the data from Oracle to SQL Server?

I usually recommend something like the following;

  • Old DB - Reconcile / Post / Delete versions / Compress (verify all delta tables empty)
  • Copy / Paste into new Enterprise Geodatabase (From Old --> New)

There are lots of other items along the way that would be specific to your organization and workflows.

I would also make sure to have a verified back up of the data in the "old" geodatabase before starting the process.
