What to expect:

The group will discuss the various ways they proactively plan for and manage adversity in their GIS programs.

Each member will be discussing some specific revealing considerations and approaches they have used with their teams:

  • Trisha will talk about building a team mindset up front and leaning on this mindset in the face of adversity, as well as modeling desired behaviors as a leader.
  • Louis will talk about minimizing resistant mindsets, the importance of building trust, and why consistency over intensity is his most powerful principle.
  • Jennifer will talk about the importance of gaining executive support through stakeholder growth and taking advantage of challenges to include executives, and how to change the language of GIS to meet your stakeholders where they are.
