My friend introduced me to the ESRI ArcGIS application by explaining that it is one of the most powerful Geographic Information System (GIS) tools used for mapping and spatial analysis. They showed me how ArcGIS can be used to visualize data on maps, analyze patterns, and solve real-world problems such as urban planning, environmental management, and resource allocation. Through his guidance, I learned the basics of how to navigate the interface, explore layers, and understand how spatial data is stored and represented.
