🌍 Celebrating GeoAwareness Week!
From Nov 15–18, we showcased the power of Geography, GIS, and Drone Technology in understanding and solving real-world challenges.

Geospatial science is more than maps—it’s about connecting data, technology, and people to address critical issues in water resources, disaster management, environmental monitoring, human systems, and climate change.

At UA Geography & Environment, we use GIS and UAVs (drones) to collect high-resolution data for research on:
Flood and drought risk assessment
Wetland and grassland conservation
Climate resilience and sustainability
Disaster preparedness and recovery

Geography is the science of where—and with tools like drones and GIS, we can make informed decisions for a better planet.

Discover your world. Shape the future.
