Display Properties in Model Builder

I would like to change the color of directories in a model. Normally they are represented by a blue oval. I tried changing it to have a light purple fill color by right-clicking on it and selecting Display Properties. The moment the model is validated it reverts back to blue (even if I save the model first). How do I set the model to retain this color?

It was found in Version 9.3.1 and was rejected by Development as a "known limit."  I would recommend going to http://ideas.arcgis.com to add this as an idea for future development.  Vote early - vote often...
