Arcgis 10.6.1 Tools lead to Null "000000_" result

Has anyone experienced ArcMap ArcGIS 10.6.1 Desktop not executing tool functions in a session? After ArcMap is open for a while, executing a tool leads to the tool running but not generating the output with Geoprocessing results showing leading zeros eg. 000000_123456789. Closing and re-opening ArcMap and running "Not Run" processes then leads to success. Running on PC Windows 10.
