Imagine a workflow where a user creates a new record, say by drawing a polygon or copying a polygon from a parcel layer, and the attributes for this record are empty. Now suppose that the attributes were those from other layers, for example municipality, pressure zone, or address. How might one go about collecting these attributes without having to process on the entire recordset, or without having to perform a spatial join to add fields only to ultimately have to delete fields, or to have build the record from scratch then append. Is there a way to easily grab attributes from other tables and populated them into an existing field?
