Is there a way to attach files to a file geodatabase or ArcSDE?

I am working on a project that has all data stored in a file geodatabase. For each of the feature classes in the geodatabase we have various files that we want to attach to each feature class. Is there a way to accomplish this without adding attachments to the features in each feature classs?

You could create a field in the table and configure Using Hyperlinks—Help | ArcGIS Desktop . This would be by record.

Thanks George, but I am looking for a solution to attach one document to one feature class, not one document to a record from the feature class. I know I can add links to the metadata for each feature class but that is way down on my list of solutions for now.

I am not aware of a way to attach a single document to a feature class (or entire table). I believe that the attachment needs to be tied to a record within the feature class.
