Hi Everyone!

My name is Sanaya Menghani, and I recently graduated from University of California, Riverside with a degree in Computational Mathematics and a Data Science minor. Soon after, I began working at Esri HQ in Redlands, CA as an Enterprise Technical Support Analyst.

Coming from a heavy technical, and moving into the GIS field was a big jump for me but Esri YPN has been an amazing resource! I've have learnt so much in the few months that I've been with Esri, and I have made many great connections within Esri and outside.

I am looking forward to connecting with more people in the world of GIS and can't wait to see what the future holds!

I'd love to connect with you on LinkedIn !

Thanks for joining Esri YPN @SanayaMenghani1 and also welcome to Esri! I am also at Esri HQ and work on the Education team in Industry Solutions and am apart of the Esri YPN Advisory Board. 🙂 I think your background is super interesting! What sort of projects did you work on during your studies and how did you incorporate GIS in data science?

Thank you Rosemary! I hope to run into you at Esri campus. I completed a project at the end of my college career where I performed spatial analysis on wildfire data in California. That is when I got introduced to GIS and my interest grew more after attending the Esri 2024 Dev Summit in Palm Springs. Soon after, I joined Esri!!!!

That's amazing! I love your story and also am sure that attending Dev summit fueled your passion. If you're interested in writing about it, that would be a good topic for the YPN Content Ambassador option.
