The climate is at the forefront of our minds. As critical resources are being used and shared between countries and states, it is crucial to facilitate interest in protecting these resources and our natural environment from a young age.

Teachers in K-12 have an ever-important role to play in developing and educating the minds of younger generations. Children are our future change-makers, and we need to provide them with the most up-to-date tools & resources to implement positive impacts on the environments that surround us.

Esri understands this. By providing ArcGIS software to K-12 schools in the United States, we aim to help teachers and students access geographic information systems (GIS) technology. GIS can allow for a clearer understanding of how climate change affects our world including water usage, warming temperatures, drought impacts, environmental justice, human-wildlife conflict, and more.

To assist K-12 teachers, the Esri Schools team has worked to create a brand-new landing page highlighting climate resources focusing on environmental and sustainability curricula in K-12 schools. These resources include recommended GeoInquiries, ArcGIS StoryMaps, Esri Teacher Video Challenge winners, and more.
