We are extremely pleased to share the announcement of the 2023 ArcGIS StoryMap Competition! This is a great way to get your students involved in supporting the Earth. Submit a story or your research via an ArcGIS StoryMap for the chance to win.

The 2023 ArcGIS StoryMaps Competition invites storytellers, 18 years of age or older, to submit stories about restoring and conserving our planet's lands and waters—leaving no one behind. While the submission portal officially opens on July 10, you can get started on your conservation story today—during Earth Week!

ArcGIS StoryMaps help you tell remarkable stories with custom maps that inform and inspire.

A story can effect change, influence opinion, and create awareness—and maps are an integral part of storytelling. ArcGIS StoryMaps can give your narrative a stronger sense of place, illustrate spatial relationships, and add visual appeal and credibility to your ideas.

This year’s competition focuses on conservation and the ways in which you are working towards conserving our planet. What better time to announce the competition than on Earth Day?

This year only, the annual ArcGIS StoryMaps Competition and Tribal ArcGIS StoryMaps Competition will merge into one larger storytelling contest to recognize the critical role of indigenous communities and knowledge in global conservation, science, and sustainability efforts.

The guest judges who will assist with judging the competition include:
