(Sorry for cross posting.)

You are invited to join the Global effort of the UK Centres of Excellence to set a world record attempt (unofficial as the Guinness records bureaucracy is crazy) to be run during GIS Day/National Geography Week Nov 16-22, 2015.

Esri UK and the GDST have been developing a collaborative Geography event for all school Geography departments. Between 17-21 November 2014 we want to get as many students as you can to add data to our online collaborative GIS map.

Lots of teaching resources and ideas will be provided for you If you think you might be interested and want more information then please add your details on our registration page in this story map or our dedicated event web site, so we can keep you up to date.

All the details of the event (and contacts) and how to sign up can be found in the Map Journal here:

http://rhsb.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/?appid=d44ea4164dfb41238c427ec0ade64768

In addition, please register your individual GIS Day event no later than Sept 19th at www.gisday.com
