Connecting Dashboard To Collector Data For Monitoring Appraiser Progress After Harvey Flooding

Collector applications were developed for appraisers to use for property visits after Hurricane Harvey passed through the area.  In order for the progress to be monitored by managers, Operation Dashboard applications were requested. While the applications needed to download the layers from ArcGIS Online that were edited in Collector, the dashboard applications needed to use Portal and be updated on a regular basis. Challenges existed in accessing the ArcGIS Online data layers, combining the different layer types into one layer without any duplicates, and keeping only the most recently edited records for each parcel. With layer sizes ranging from 4,000 parcels to 50,000 parcels it was also important to keep only the parcels currently under review and develop a procedure to allow dashboard to display as many parcels as possible for at-a-glance viewings without crashing. The dashboard applications were set up with multiple widgets and filters to allow queries by property types, workers, dates, etc.
