I am customizing the locator style USAddress.lot.xml provided with ArcGIS SP3 and cannot explain the behaviour.

All I have been doing is add some entries in the sections:
<section desc="Suffix types">  and

<def name="suf_type">

I was able to add about 25 new street types, create the locator (dual ranges) and geocode in ArcMap a given address with a match score of 100%.  The geocoded address does not use one of the 25 new street types. (100 King St E, Saint John)

I then added another 10 new street types, created a new locator and tried to geocode the same address as before and got a match of:

90.97% -  100 King St, Saint John
89.75% -  100 King St E, Saint John (matches better on a segment without a direction!!)

The only way a can get 100% again is with a suite number: 100 King St E Suite #2, Saint John which makes no sense at all.

I've already spent days on this inconsistency problem.  Is it a know bug/problem?

Please help
