Normal to polyline within a polygon

Hi,

I have a polygon that has a centerline. The polygon does not have straight sites (its a peninsula) and I need normal lines (orthogonal) to the centerline that extend to the site of the polygon. The orthogonal lines should be spaced in a certain intervall.

Any ideas?
