Mosaic of MrSID files

I'm trying to create a mosaic dataset of MrSID files.  When I go to the directory to select the files, there are lots of .jpg files that register as raster datasets as well.  Each one corresponds directly to a MrSID file.  If I add both a MrSID file and its corresponding jpg, the tiles will not mosaic properly.  I thought the jpg was somehow a pyramid file or something so I added it.  Should I just leave it out?

Hi Kevin,

MrSID files store pyramids internally, so there won't be an associated pyramid file (.ovr).  I would recommend not including the JPGs.  Also, I would recommend creating a Mosaic Dataset of the MrSIDs if you're not already.  A mosaic dataset will save you storage space, creation time, and perform much faster.
