A co-worker and I were wondering if we could edit the same shapefile and if it would auto-update. Is this possible in any way? Or would the edits not save if someone more recently started an edit session?
Keep in mind that a shapefile supports only one person editing it at a time, although multiple users can view it simultaneously. Attempting multiuser editing of a shapefile can result in data corruption.
