What is a good tool for me to convert or  create a polygon from points that I got from field crew.  They are points to build a new parking lot somewhere within in the Ranger District. It was a file they use in gpx xml file used from and it was in points layer.

I have tried a few tool to do this  but having no luck.

What I would like to have this layer to carry over the attributes over from the points to polygon.

Is that Possible ? Is there a workflow for that ?

I have ArcGIS Pro, Desktop .

Points To Line (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

then

Feature To Polygon (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

don't expect it to go smoothly, you will have to edit. This of course assumes that they followed the path around the "polygon" perimeter.

Otherwise, for regular shapes

Minimum Bounding Geometry (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

You will need a unique id to associate each point with a particular "polygon" otherwise you will have a jumble.

Finally, if you only have a small number, it is probably just as quick to make a point file from the data, then connect the dots in an edit session
