My workflow to add a feature class in to an existing replica  is add the feature class in production dataset, delete replica dataset and then replicate the dataset with the new feature class. This is time consuming and you have to go through the process of shutdown map service, unlock features and so on.

ESR recomedation to do this is ArcObjects code...Is there an out-of-the-box tool to add a feature class to an existing replica? In 10.3 is ESRI solving this issue? Any idea?

Thank you

Hi Eudel,

Take a look at the steps in the following KB article.  You will not have to stop any of your services with these steps.

Hi Jake: I’ve done that route too and there is always something with locks so I end stopping the service…☹ Thank you very much!
