I would like Esri to support Windows Authentication with a distributed ArcSDE SQL Server configuration. The distributed model is and always has been supported for Oracle databases but not for SQL Server databases. This is critical to support a large user base that puts a heavy demand on a single SQL Server instance or if you are using an enterprise SQL Server that contains GIS and non-GIS enabled databases. This current nonsupport of OS Authentication does not support enterprise deployments of GIS software.
