It is currently not easy to manage in Arcgis data with different coordinates systems (ex : GPS data in WGS84, and local maps in local system), and to transfer from one computer to other projects with non standard coordinates systems.
Implement :
- A tool to enter easily the geodetic parameters at once in the software (creating a specific system), so that they can be easily reselected for the shapes files (catalog) and also in project (data frame). Geodetic parameters should be including Projection + Geographical system definition (with geographic transformation, also called datum shifts)
- Improve the .prj file to include geographic coordinates system and geodetic transformations.
- Allow to transfer custom coordinates systems to other computers.
