That environment is supported if it meets or exceeds the base build environment and that environment is known to not fail. Thank you George Thompson. The support in ArcGIS Server would actually be more important to me. ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 came out much later than Oracle 19.4. Since the database requirements explicitly only contain Oracle 19.3 and there is no indication that other versions are also supported, our IT service provider refuses.
Does ArcGIS Server 10.9 receive other database requierments?
The support listed above is for all ArcGIS releases at 10.8.1, including ArcGIS Server.
Oracle 19.3 was the tested / certified version for the 10.8.1 release. As the docs state, we support versions newer, i.e. Oracle 19.4, unless otherwise stated.
As for supported versions at 10.9, we would have to wait till it is publicly available later this year.
I do not see us going back and certifying a newer version on an older release. Hope this helps.
