How to use @mention

How to @mention  

To @mention, use the following steps: 

  1. Navigate to the content (i.e. question, idea, blog, document, video or event) you would like to draw someone’s attention to.
  2. Using the Reply (on questions and videos) or the Comment (on Ideas, blogs, documents, and events) field, start typing your message. When you are ready to include someone into the conversation type ‘@’ and immediately, without any spaces, start typing the username or User Group. For example, ‘@BriannaEttley’. As you start typing, suggestions will appear. When you see the username, you are looking for, click on it to add it to the reply or comment. If you do not see the username, click Show more to view more usernames.

  3. When you have finished composing your reply or comment, hit the reply or comment button to complete the post. 
  4. The person or people in the group will receive a notification with a link to the content in their notification feed and email.

Note: If a user has turned off email notifications, unsubscribed to automated Community emails, turned off push notifications, turned off all real-time pop-up notification, or turned off all mobile notifications, the member may only see the notification when checking their notification feed.
