Cascade story map appends extra line to text boxes. How to fix it?

This happens when there is only one line of text, the template appends a empty line that cannot be deleted. The template won't let me delete the extra line in the editing mode. This shows as an extra line in the app after the text. See attached images, I want to remove the box below the red line...
