Happy to hear you were able to find a workaround. If you need to return to using your own hosted images, try changing the urls to use all forward slashes (http://gis.marioncountyfl.org/StoryMaps/HistoricSites/Thumbnail/UnionStation_now.jpg).

Hello Gregory,
I am having a similar issue with the thumbnail images not showing up in the Shortlist Beta version template. I am not using an attribute with a link to the image... i am using an image link from the shortlist configuration. The link is an image that is hosted on our server. The regular image shows up fine but the thumbnail is not there.
Amanda
Hi Amanda,
Sorry, that's strange, could you share your shortlist? Or maybe try to reproduce on a new shortlist so I can take a look?
Thanks
Hello Gregory,
Thank you as always for responding so quickly.
Below is a link to my shortlist story map. I am using the beta version template.
Thank you,
Amanda
Hi Amanda,
Looking at your app, the requests for the thumbnail images are returning a 404 error (file or directory not found) i.e., http://gis.marioncountyfl.org/StoryMapsHistoricSitesThumbnailUnionStation_now.JPG .
Double check the paths to your thumbnail images (can test by loading in a browser window), and that should resolve the issue.

Mark,
I checked the URL path in a browser and it came up for me just fine. The URL is: http://gis.marioncountyfl.org/StoryMaps\HistoricSites\Thumbnail\UnionStation_now.jpg
Amanda,
Try updating the thumbnail url in the Shortlist builder for some of the places with that properly formatted url and see if it resolves your issue.
Mark,
I did try that but it didn't work. I have been able to successfully fix this issues by uploading all my pictures to Flickr and then importing them from AGOL Shortlist template.
Thank you for your efforts.
Amanda
