Hey there,

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. I'm a GIS nerd and science geek but amateur at best with HTML/CSS.

I've designed our organization's story map and we want to host it externally. I've edited a few properties and used firebug plugin on mozilla to help me out with this (WHAT A GOD SEND!).

It looks great in mozilla but when I test with chrome or other browsers everything is displaced. It seems like when I view in chrome I am instead getting the mobile site version.

Can anyone help me out with this?
Here is the website:

(Note: not sure if the pictures will show up externally quite yet)

I ended up solving this by starting over fresh in a separate directory, and using firebug to identify changes to the css I already made in the other directory. With each change, loaded and refreshed a page in IE, chrome and firefox. There are a few CSS and HTML elements that are not allowed in IE or Chrome which caused some discrepancies. Once I realized what the specific elements of CSS and HTML I was able to troubleshoot.

I also didn't touch the min.css files and instead all my css changes in the designated spot on the index.html.

I'm having a similar issue. Although my site works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but in IE10 I get "An error has occurred
Fatal error: Failed to get portal configuration".

I'm using the most recent version of the 'Storytelling Map Tour - 2.2.3.

I am not having that issue. They all display on each browser, just different layout. See attached screenshots.

Yeel, When I hit your site from IE10 I get the same "Fatal error: Failed to get portal configuration". See screenshot. What version of IE are you using?

KPS4 > Your map tour works fine for me in IE 11 and other browsers: http://gis.bergmannpc.com/awards_tour/ and I don't get the message you saw (although it might be intermittent or based on some condition that I'm not experiencing). When you see that Portal Config message, does it work if you ignore the message and just press Refresh?

(Note that the pic for place 5 isn't appearing:

Yeel> Your URL is working now http://mapamherstburg.ca/walkingtour/index.html  but your customization is definitely causing odd things to happen. (None of your images are displaying, but that's a separate issue). Perhaps start those customizations over again.

Kate, would you mind creating a separate topic on your own regarding this? I fear troubleshooting IE here will take away the focus from my original question. Thanks.

The message is just an image that appears - so there is no way to ignore it per say that I see. I tried refreshing but I just get the same message. And yeah we don't have that image yet for place 5 - still waiting on it.
