Dear all,
I downloaded the map-series-storytelling-template from GitHub, installed it on a server with a webapp-id in the index-file (http://speck.conabio.gob.mx/manglarfotos/prueba_version_3/template/src/index.html), but receive the following error message:
An error has occurred:
Web Mapping Application identifier not specified in index.html.
Any hints?
Thank you and best regards,
Flo

Hi,
You are welcome.
Cool, you can find the instructions on how to use the developer version at Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub and Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub (so this is only if you are modifying more than index.html). This will give output in a new folder a version that will accept your appid configuration in index.html. During development you have to pass it through URL parameter, see Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub
Hi,
Sorry about the trouble. You have deployed the developer version of the app that is not ready to be deployed.
If you are not making any important customization the one you want to download is the user version http://links.esri.com/storymaps/map_series_template_zip
We explain that in the instructions, see Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub
This should be more straightforward, we are going to fix this in next release and when you download the developer version you will receive a clear error message.
Hi Gregory,
thank you for the prompt answer!
The question is linked to an issue we posted recently: add "dijit.form.ComboBox"? to map-series template
- that´s why we would like to customize the app!?
Would it work to follow the steps of the developer guide: Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub ?
cheers,
Flo

Gracias, Gregory - we'll try that!
