How do I format excel file to create points on the map. Is there a specific order when mapping urban locations by postal address?

I am seeking to attain novice level. I have created a map with short list builder and a Map Journal always entering data, one address at a time. I am mainly plotting locations in urban United States and rural Mexico plus scattered locations in South America, Is there a specific format for the excel file so I can just create and upload the file?

Hi Mark -- the format for the Excel file you need can be found in the Shortlist Help menu. Look for the link for the Shortlist data schema. That is a download that contains what you're looking for.
