I have some point feature services that are stored in my content in AGOL. The feature services show up in my web map, but they don't show up in my Story Map series that references the web map. They show up in the legend in the story map but not the map itself. The data, map, and app are shared to the same internal group. I've tried clearing my cache and using different browsers and the problem still persists. I tried deleting the feature service and re-publishing and the problem still exists. I've tried changing the symbology in my web map and the problem still exists. I can't figure out how to get the points to show up in the story map. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Here we are in late 2023 and still having the same issue. I have added a point feature class containing two points t to my Portal content and added to map. Once the map is added to my StoryMap, they disappear, same as mentioned in Molly's original post. I've added the points to my content as a zipped shapefile, and also added by sharing the features directly from ArcGIS Pro to my content. All versions of the feature layer disappear when map is added to a StoryMap.
Not sure if everyone who ran into this issue figured out a work around or not, but I just recently had this issue occur and this is how I found a work around.
Just like everyone else, when I added my Hosted Feature to the map (using Map Tour), my attached images and text showed in the side window (so the feature was being read), but no features were shown in the map and the map would not zoom as I scrolled through the tour. Everything looked fine when I viewed the feature in a normal web map. How I originally shared the feature was through ArcGIS Pro to my Portal.
The workaround that seem to do the trick was to zip up the FGDB and open portal and utilize the "New Item" in portal to create the hosted feature. I have other features I've shared via Pro, so I'm not sure why this particular feature refused to show, but creating the Hosted Feature through the website instead of Pro seemed to have worked.
