Automatic redirect from retired classic story map requiring AGOL login

Now that our classic story map covering Redlands history has been forcibly retired (along with all the classic story maps), we were hoping to use the redirection setting to send viewers to our new StoryMap version of the same content. We’re finding, though, that the redirection logic is asking for an AGOL login even though the target StoryMap is public and should not require one.

Here’s the link to the old story map which brings up the redirect:

Anyone have any suggestions on how to have the redirect go directly to the new public StoryMap without requiring an AGOL login?  Thanks!

As outlined in the other post, changing the organization’s security settings to allow anonymous access fixed the problem.

@BenParker - We were able to work out a secure way for these redirects to work for public items even when anonymous access is disabled. This update was deployed last night, so your admin can update your org settings to disable anonymous access without affecting the redirects to replacement items, if desired.
