Hi there, I'm able to create a print service in Pro using Export Web Map tools and Get Layout Template server tools.  I publish to ArcGIS Enterprise and add the print service to my utility services, print template seems to come through properly.  Then I add the URL to my WAB print widget and get an "Error, try again".  Not sure how to troubleshoot this, any insight is much appreciated!  -Shelby

Shelby,

So Portal 10.6 uses WAB 2.7 or 2.6. I think I remember an issue with setting the print service url in the widgets settings code, but if you manually edited the print widget config.json to add the url it would work. But this might be a whole other ball game when working with Portal. Your best bet would be to call tech support and open a case.

Shelby,

Are you trying this in AGOL WAB or WAB Developer Edition and if Dev Ed. what version?

Hi Robert, Thanks for the reply.  I am trying it in Portal 10.6 Web AppBuilder and have ArcGIS Enterprise set up.  Thanks, Shelby

Hey Shelby!

What is the precise URL you're using? I know that if you use the print service without the task (i.e. https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Utilities/PrintingTools/GPServer ) it will return an error, but if you include the task (i.e. https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Utilities/PrintingTools/GPServer/Export%...) it works properly.

If you haven't tried that yet, I'd suggest giving that a go!

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the note about adding the task, much appreciated and I did try that.  Also got the tip from the Esri Software Product Release team about this patch: this patch: https://support.esri.com/en/download/7577.  In the meantime, am able to use the Environmental Screening widget for my needs, will test the print service after this patch is installed.

Thanks again, Shelby
