We've identified a bug with the Infographic widget when connected to Portal for ArcGIS 10.5. We are actively investigating the issue. Please open an incident with Esri Tech Support so we can get some more info.

We are not able to reproduce the issue with dev edition 2.5 and Portal 10.5. To trouble shoot, could you please clarify the feature layer you are using? Is it from feature service, map service, hosted feature service or feature collection? Does it support query capability? When configuring the widget, do you choose the data source from Map or from Extra data source? When do you receive the error message?
