So I currently have Lidar data of the area I'm working with and created a .lasd file with it that has the colored points on the map and I am trying to use them to add elevation data to a polygon layer file of some building footprints.
The goal to create 3d buildings. I unfortunately do not have the 3d analyst extension so I cannot just simply use the height tools provided. Is there any other way I can extract the height data from the lidar and put it in the footprint attribute table? I am fine if the resolution sufferers and each building footprint only has one height (making a bunch of squares and rectangles as opposed to true 3d models).
